The City of West Columbia Assists the City of Columbia to Provide Water Service
West Columbia – Mayor Joseph W. “Joe” Owens announced Friday he has received and approved a request from Columbia Mayor Steve Benjamin and Columbia Manager Teresa Wilson for the City of West Columbia to provide emergency water service to the City of Columbia. Mayor Owens says a water line will be temporarily installed on the sidewalk of the Gervais Street Bridge to connect the West Columbia Riverside Water Plant with the City of Columbia water system.
